Short version: the calculators run in your browser, and what you type into them is never sent to us.
Every calculation on this site happens on your own device, in JavaScript, after the page has loaded. Your salary, your date of birth, your weight, your loan balance — none of it is transmitted to our servers, and none of it is stored anywhere.
This is not a promise about how we handle your data. It is a description of how the site is built: there is no endpoint that accepts calculator input, so there is nothing to send it to. You can confirm it yourself by opening your browser's network tab and typing into any tool.
Two things, and both are named. A juandesk-theme entry in your browser's local storage records whether you chose the light, dark or system theme; it never leaves your device. A jd_lang cookie records whether you are reading in Filipino or English — that one is sent with each request, because the page is rendered in your language on the server. It holds the word fil or en and nothing else. Neither identifies you, neither is used for tracking, and clearing your browser data removes both.
There is no analytics script on this site. No third party counts your visit, no measurement tag is loaded, and no profile is built about you. The only cookie is the language preference described above.
If a page fails in your browser, it sends us a report so we can fix it. The report contains the error, where in our code it happened, the page you were on, and your browser's user-agent string. It goes to our own servers — no third-party monitoring service runs on this site.
Because our calculators put the value you entered into their own error messages, every digit is replaced with # before the report is sent, and again before it is stored. A salary of 45,000 is recorded as ##,###. The page address is sent without anything after the ?, so a search you typed is never included. No cookies, no stored data and nothing from any input field form part of a report.
Requesting a page necessarily tells our infrastructure something. Standard web-server and CDN logs record the request: the page requested, the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring page if your browser sent one. These are used to keep the site running and to identify abuse. They are not linked to any individual and they are not sold.
The pages themselves are served from a content delivery network, which applies its own security and rate-limiting to inbound requests.
This site is intended to be funded by display advertising. Advertising is not running yet, and no advertising or measurement code is loaded on any page today.
When it does run, this section will be replaced with the specifics: who the provider is, what they set, and how to opt out where the law gives you that right. Advertising will never receive what you typed into a calculator, because that data never leaves your browser in the first place.
The site is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you have rights of access, correction, erasure and objection over personal data held about you.
In practice there is very little to act on: we hold nothing about you beyond the server logs described above. There is no account to hold anything in, no email address on file, and no record of which tools you used or what you typed into them.
